Public Transport Routes to the Yorkshire Dales from Wakefield

On Summer Sundays and Bank Holidays DalesBus service 870 runs from Wakefield to Ilkley, providing connections with service 883 to Skipton and Malham, and with service 874 to Bolton Abbey, Grassington and Buckden.

For other journeys to the Yorkshire Dales it's necessary to travel to Leeds, and change to another bus or train. To travel to Leeds there are frequent train (Wakefield Line) and bus services (including Arriva service 110) seven days a week.

All Dales Bus services from Leeds run from the City Bus Station, and several bus routes operate via the Rail Station Interchange.
