Public Transport Routes to the Yorkshire Dales from Wakefield
Except on Sundays, for most journeys to the Yorkshire Dales it's necessary to travel to Leeds, and change to another bus or train. To travel to Leeds there are frequent train (Wakefield Line) and bus services (including Arriva service 110) seven days a week.
All Dales Bus services from Leeds run from the City Bus Station, and several bus routes operate via the Rail Station Interchange.
On Sundays there are direct buses into the Dales from Wakefield, leaving from the Bus Station and running via Robin Hood:
To Wharfedale (Dales Way) – Bolton Abbey, Barden, Burnsall, Grassington, Kettlewell and Buckden
